DIRECTOR Q&A
OR: What was the inspiration for your film?
FB: The inspiration for this film was to make an original and offbeat comedy. It is by seeing the innocence of children that I had the idea to imagine what they would think if they got up at night and heard their parent in the room.
OR: When did you conceive the idea for your film and how long did it take before it was realized?
FB: I wrote the script quite quickly and I made some repetition with children. He especially had that dialogues are childish and not written for children. This is why the dialogues are children of words.
OR: What was the most challenging aspect of working in a short film format?
FB: In this film, the main challenge has been to work with children and that these children are the roles prinicpaux. Like any movie stars on the dialogue, it was important that children are natural otherwise it would not have worked.
OR: What was the most challenging aspect of your production?
FB: Another complicated aspect is that children have little patience to give for turning. So we had to work in steps of 10 minutes. We had to avoid tiring the child and remain natural.
OR: Do you have any advice for first-time filmmakers?
FB: If I have any advice to give it is to do things even if you have little or no means, CA lets you know what’s working or not.
